Do you love chocolate? Hey, who doesn’t! Here’s your chance at winning one of Lily’s Dark Chocolate Bars.
Aren’t they beautiful? As far as chocolate bars go these ones are actually not too bad. At least there’s no sugar in it. Only stevia. Apparently you can’t taste the stevia out either. I haven’t tried them yet. I’m intrigued though!
The people who have tried it seem to like it a lot. There’s four kinds to choose from:
- Dark Chocolate
- Dark Chocolate Almond
- Dark Chocolate Crispy Rice
- Dark Chocolate Coconut
Price-wise this chocolate ain’t cheap. Click on the image below to see the range of chocies on Amazon.
So it’s a good thing you can win it for FREE.
This delightful chocolate isn’t available in all countries. For instance in the UK. There only seems to be a chocolate available that is mixed with Stevia and Erythritol. It’s from Cavalier, you can check it out here. So if you win and Lily’s isn’t available where you live, we’ll find something comparable for you. So don’t let that stop you entering the give away
The way this works is this: You can ‘Enter to win’ simply by tweeting about this giveaway or leaving a comment below this post with an idea for the next give away (yes! There will be another giveaway!!!)
This giveaway ends on Sunday. The winner will be announced on Monday 28th Oct.
Candida Diet Advice:
Let’s get this straight. I believe that chocolate (even without sugar) has no place in the fight against Candida. It’s a stimulant and it plays havoc with your blood sugar levels which in turn encourages Candida growth.
But let’s face it, if you are a longterm sufferer there will come moments where you are likely to resort to one conventional snack or another, being it a candy bar or cake. If it’s either that or this blood sugar friendly chocolate – go for the chocolate! One piece isn’t going to do you much harm, if any.
Just make sure you really only enjoy one piece and not the whole bar and not every day
And if you’re just starting the diet and want to stay strong, I’m happy to get you something less tempting of equal value. Just say.

A food I would like to see in a giveaway is another type of purchasable snack that is fine on the anti-candida diet. I find I am sometimes in a rush and am out all day, and can’t buy anything anywhere that fits in the diet guidelines. I would be nice to bring something along that I didn’t have to make and still was good for me.
I absolutely agree with you. But so far I have been unlucky in finding something suitable. Everything seems to have sugar, honey or fruit in it unfortunately. So it can only be sea weed crackers or a pack of nuts or something, and these would have to be super fresh. But I’m based in the Uk with very little choice. Maybe where you are there is more choice. So please tell me if you know of anything candida diet friendly, I am more than happy to run a giveaway with it.
This chocolate bar would definitely be a better substitute to what’s out there.
I’m always a sucker for a chocolate giveaway, but I like other cooking basics too!
Glad you’re participating Laura. Any particular cooking basics you’d like?
I love your website. Thank you for all of your helpful information and recipes! I would also love this chocolate! Yum. I think you should also give away some Organic Cacao Nibs by Navitas Naturals or some Artisana Coconut Butter….I’ve never had it, but I hear it’s delicious.
Awesome suggestions – love it! Thanks Kimberly.
Just to say I found the taste of erythritol to be kind of caramel-like, and better than most stevia I’ve tried. But, if I won a chocolate bar, I’d be happy to let you know the comparison.
Wishing you another happy year blogging, Sandra!
Oh – and I’m so sorry you can’t try it in the UK…
When we meet half way across the ocean, I’ll bring you one, OK?
Hah, I shall not be defeated by the negligence of a chocolate company – I shall make my own stevia chocolate! I do appreciate you meeting me half way – we can compare the two side by side then. Did you end up making an apple pie or crumble/ cobbler whatever you call it?
I like the idea of you winning – at least I wouldn’t have to worry about making a candida issue worse… I didn’t start my week in cleanse mode how I had planned – I just baked a new bread
Proud! My first sprouted bread – I tried an ezekiel sprouted flour mix – delicious. But I probably can’t tempt you with it just yet – I know you like your paleo ‘flours’…
Hi Sandra,
Congratulations on your first year and I’m sure there are many more to come. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Karen
if you keep coming back to my blog then I will definitely carry on!
Will you see your daughter this weekend? Oh hang on, you already had thanksgiving, didn’t you? It’s confusing as we don’t celebrate it here at all. Wishing you a fab weekend!
I am always interested in a quick grab and go food that is Candida free! Thank you for this opportunity to share what interests us!
You’re welcome Genina – thanks for your kind comment!
Mmm, this looks delicious. I need to look more into stimulants and their affects! Looking forward to exploring your site!
Thanks Candace, I’ll be exploring your lovely site, too. I very much enjoyed your last Wellness update – it is very similar to what I was experiencing. I felt much worse on days when I ate gluten. These days I’m fine with spelt flour thankfully. But the past few days I ate sprouted wheat flour and some of my old inflammations flared up – it’s so frustrating, isn’t it!
Thanks so much, I am so glad I am checking out your site, finally! It is so frustrating, so many pieces to the puzzle it seems, I think we have many similarities in this regard! So happy to meet someone in the same situation!
Definitely, especially since we are both blogging about it. We can support each other in that respect, too. On that note, you can guest post on my blog if you like. There are lots of things you know that would be interesting for my readers, for instance how much stevia you use in recipes, what the Chinese Candida treatment looks like and how it works… Let me know if you are interested in that…
I would be honored! I have a couple of projects on the go but as soon as they wrap up I I would love to chat about it. I would love if you guest posted for me as well! Perhaps about Hashimotos? We can discuss, can’t wait!
This sounds delicious! I haven’t had chocolate in over 4 months. Would like to taste this for sure. Thanks for providing this opportunity!
Hello Daneta, you’ve been very good not to eat any chocolate for over 4 months! I know how difficult that is. Thanks for taking part!
Congratulations on your year anniversary and thanks for sharing. The information you have on your site has been invaluable to helping me on my path to restoring my health. Any ideas for on the go breakfast foods would be greatly appreciated.
I think I must be really tired but I can’t find the place to enter the contest. I hit the enter to win but it only gives me a place to leave a comment for another food we’d like to see given away. What am I missing.?
thanks
Amber
Hi Amber, I think I must have been tired when I set up the giveaway
You did nothing wrong – it was just confusing. Sorry about that! For some reason I presumed you had to enter your details, but apparently not. So you can enter by simply tweeting about the giveaway or leaving a comment here. Since you’ve already done that I will enter you into the giveaway anyway. But if you’d like to tell me what type of giveaway you’d like to see next time, that would be brilliant. Kitchen gadget, recipes book or itunes gift card perhaps? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you’ll get a chance to relax tonight. Have a great weekend!
Sandra
Nature’s Harvest makes some great no sugar snacks. Lately, I’ve been munching on the Plantain Chips with Sea Salt. They also have almonds and some black bean snacks, too. When I started eliminating yeast and sugar from my diet, the snack category was really hard for me to get a hold of. Most of the snacks I was eating were filled with sugar. Even the “healthy” ones, like dried cherries and fruit bars are loaded with sugar. And, eating raw vegetables just doesn’t cut it, sometimes. I’m open for any new suggestions for snack foods…
It’s true that most snack bars are filled with sugar. Will be checking out the Nature’s Harvest range – sounds great! Thanks for your suggestions.
I tried a Lily’s dark chocolate bar, and it was delicious. Only once though, because they are not cheap. They are the only stevia sweetened bar that I have found, so I am excited to see this giveaway.
As far as future gifts, your own idea for a gift card sounds good. Maybe Amazon or some place that offers the healthy products we can’t find anywhere else.
Thanks!
Sheryl
Good idea, thanks Sheryl
What a fab giveaway Sandra! I’d love to try stevia-sweetened chocolate. Admittedly I do eat chocolate every day (just a small piece!) but sugar-free choc would make me feel a little bit better about my habit!
I’d love to see a giveaway for a favourite product of yours.
Thanks so much Emma! I’ll investigate more chocolate treats so I can do another chocolatey giveaway
There’s going to be a lot of testing involved on my part, hah! I like your favourite product suggestion as well.
I think researching ‘chocolate’ alternatives is my new favourite hobby! If it’s raw, organic or 99% cacao I just have to try it! I’m currently spending all my money on the raw chocolate company/ombar, and it looks like Lily’s will be next on my list
Thanks Alice, I’m so glad you mention the raw chocolate/ Om bar – I’ve been looking longingly at those every time I walk in the health shop. I had a feeling they were good. Must try them soon. Including Lily’s which I haven’t tried yet either.
Awesome, I’d love to. I haven’t done any guest posts yet. So it’s high time for me… Congrats to securing the guest post on Whole New Mom! It was a great article. I will be linking to it on my blog
