Iced Pear Protein Smoothie

  • ½ frozen pear
  • ⅓ frozen banana
  • handful of almonds, preferably soaked (I used blanched)
  • sprinkle of cinnamon
  • a mix of frozen almond and rice milk (about a glass full)
  • optional: 1 tbsp vanilla protein powder (I used whey)
  • optional: green superfoods powder (I used chlorella)
  1. Simply fill the frozen fruit pieces into your blender.
  2. Cover them with a glass full of either almond or rice milk – preferably frozen (I used half almond milk, half rice milk frozen into ice cubes the day before).
  3. Let it sit on the side for a moment if it’s still too frozen. Alternatively pour more almond/ rice milk over it to help melt it slightly.
  4. Add the soaked almonds and any protein or super foods powder or spice you are using.
  5. Blend until nice and frothy.
