Will you Benefit from my Random act of Kindness?

random act of kindness - a gift for you

Hey awesome people – how y’all doing?!!  Quick announcement – I’m going to be giving away some funky cool things from Amazon as a thank you to you all… but I need ideas!

What would you like to receive from Amazon (please stick to within $25).

Scroll down to leave your answers please :)

When was the last time anyone did a random act of kindness to you?

Out of the blue. Just somebody being extraordinarily nice to you. Maybe they gave you their unused parking ticket or they gave you flowers or just a dazzling smile, whatever it may be.

Now I’m not saying this so you can be kind to me, haha. I was fortunate enough to have been at the receiving end of a random act of kindness this morning.

Last night a very successful entrepreneur whom I admire (his name is Pat Flynn), asked his Facebook followers to share a link to a recent article or blog post (that could be theirs or someone else’s) that they believed would be helpful to the rest of the community. He said he had a little something special to give to two random commenters.

Being a woman of action I took part like over 250 other people, and guess what?!

He picked me (this is me dancing and singing opera in the background as we speak)!

Apart from the fact that I never normally win anything (no that’s not true -I won a bus tour to Spain when I was a teenager – and I won a weekend in a local hotel around the corner from me two years ago, whoppee doo ;-)

But now I have won a $25 dollars Amazon gift certificate. Yes!

2 Things You Can Get for Free:

The good news is that I am paying the random act of kindness forward (now wait for it!)

  • Not only am I going to perform a random act of kindness to one of my lucky readers (I’m hoping it’s you!), who I’m offering a skype consultation with me, where you can quiz me on anything you like and I motivate you and help you to take action on their health goals.
  • I am also going to pick a few select little useful things to buy with the voucher that I am going to give away here on the blog. How good is that?!

So back to you. Let me know if you want the skype call with me (now why wouldn’t you, ey ;-) and what you’d use it for. Tonight I’m going to put the names in a hat and randomly pick somebody.

Secondly, leave a comment with your suggestion of what I should pick as giveaways – anything in the value of up to $25 dollars that I can buy on Amazon.

What would you love to receive?

  • A cook book?
  • A health supplement or superfood?
  • A candida book?
  • Something I haven’t thought of?
  • Like this? Share it 🙂

Update on the Giveaway:

The random winner of the call with me is Shannon – Congratulations ;-) A chance to pick my brains on anything candida diet related that’s on your mind. I’ll be offering this again, since there were a few more people interested…so don’t be said if you haven’t been picked yet.

The give away has started now, yay. Head on over if you’re curious what treat I have chosen! It’s a very shareable one!!!

Hi Edie thanks for your suggestion, I can see where you’re going with that hehe. It’s a good idea :) I would just like to make as many people happy with the gift voucher as possible, considering that I cannot afford to run lots of giveaways… Hm, let me think about this.

Lily’s Dark Chocolate candy bar, made with STEVIA! So yummy and no sugar! Or, Teecino Chicory Root (faux coffee), very warm and relaxing in the morning. Thank you!

Chocolate with Stevia?! Perfect! Will check it out. I have been curious to try Teechino for quite some time now. Both things in my eyes would make great giveaways. Thanks Annalisa!

I love random acts of kindness!
I would so love to be the one chosen to pick your brain about Candida. Especially since my MD doesn’t seem to think its serious enough to help me.
And a cookbook would be awesome so I can put on a bit of the 28 lbs I’ve lost in this whole ordeal! (I’m down to 102 lbs and still shrinking).

Me too ;-)
Awesome, thanks Shannon! I hope that I can talk to you soon then. So far only 3 other people want to talk to me, so your chances are good. Where are you based? We’d have to figure out the timezone difference… Any particular cookbook in mind?

Yay!! I will keep my fingers crossed.
I live in New Mexico (Mountian Time).
I have found very few cookbooks in our local bookstores. I was hoping you had a good one that is geared towards simple meals in mind. ;) . I am still on a strict diet but I’m beginning to add berries/green apples this weekend.

Thanks so much

Knowledge is priceless so even a bit of your time to help one of us would be lovely.
Maybe offer an analysis and custom design a program that works for that person specifically so it would be special only to them.
I’m going to wish myself luck as I could use the help.
Come to Canada Baby! :)

Aww.. you’re lovely Karen, I was thinking of you actually and was wondering how you’ve been. I think a meeting in person would be required in your case – forget the telephone. Canada here I come :) But you got to go skiing with me! Is that a deal breaker ;-)

I would love to talk to you, but I don’t have Skype. I would love a good Candida cookbook. Thanks.

Helly Peggy, where are you based? Maybe we could do it over the phone… Any ideas what cookbook you’d want? I’ll do some asking around what candida cookbook is good.

I love the idea of the chocolate stevia bars also and it could be shared by more people ( a random act of kindness )who then can pass it on to other people. What a great idea Sandra also the cookbook for simple meals, we all can use that. We never have enough cookbook. Thanks also for your great work with us you have saved me from a lot of pain and trouble with your candida diet tips and tricks

:) Kathy I’m glad you’re here. You’ve been greatly missed over in the ‘Detox buddies’ Facebook group. There’s quite a bit of momentum going with 3 people doing the cleanse and a few others just getting motivated to eating healthier. What would I do without your kind words and encouragement! Choci or Cookbook, hmm… looks like I’ll be making this give away thing a regular feature on my blog. We all need something to cheer us up!

There are two candida apps in the itunes store. I do everything on my ipad since it was a great gift about a year ago. I’m sure there are others like me who might like these apps too. Not sure how good they are, they don’t really have a way to sample them. Both are $1.99 each. So maybe a $5.00 itunes gift card? I don’t think they come any smaller than that. They are called Candida diet and Candida diet foods. They are both by Mark Patrick Media. I would love a skype! My sister went through the cleanse a few weeks ago, and my Husband and I wish to start during Christmas break, but am clueless except what my sister has told me.

I thought I left a comment earlier but it must not have gone through.
I am just starting to get into the candida cleanse. My sister did it with her family and the detox was incredible. I know almost nothing about it so far so I am starting my research and landed here. I would love a skype with you to pick your brain an everything candida. However I also saw two app in the itunes store $1.99 each that might be a nice giveaway idea. Personally I like the apps idea or I LOVE cookbooks. The apps are called candida diet and candida diet foods. Both are by Mark patrick media. So you could get an itunes gift card for $5.00, I don’t know if they can be bought for any less. Not sure how good the apps are considering they must be bought to try out, but I thought I’d throw that idea out there. Hope that helps! And thank you for being generous with such a great giveaway!

Hi Christina, I got both your messages. They don’t get posted automatically, because some people post spammy content. So I have to go into the system and double-check each message for spam, and yesterday I didn’t check. Hence the delay… Sorry you had to type your message twice. Your input is much appreciated though! Thanks so much! What a fab idea with the itunes card gift card. I didn’t even know about those apps until you mentioned them. I will definitely give a $5 itunes gift card away. If not this time then soon thereafter. I’m glad you chose to do the cleanse/ diet. It’s quite an undertaking but you’ll feel much better for it. If you wanted to start with a short fast then here’s some useful info http://candidadietplan.com/candida-cleanse/
Other than that I’d recommend slowly changing your diet. Over the next few weeks use coconut sugar, stevia or xylitol as sweetener, until you don’t use any. Choose dark berries or green apples over sweeter fruit and avoid dried fruit, reduce coffee and dark meat intake. Eat a lot of fish and brown rice dishes. Eat gluten free breads or spelt, avoid wheat and refined grains. And finally avoid dairy and instead use coconut oil and almond milk/ rice milk. A lot of changes, I know. But you can take your time. Every little helps.
Keep in touch. All my best,
Sandra

Thanks Anne, interesting book choice! I think it would indeed help a lot of people with Candida. Won’t be giving the book away this time. But it’s duly noted :)
